JS Pilates restorative

Restorative Pilates

My gentle, deeply restorative Pilates classes are designed especially for mums. With a special focus on the breath, pelvic floor and abdominals, as well as lots of fascial release, these classes are designed to realign, restore and strengthen all the parts of your body that have been neglected for too long.

Is this class right for me?

This class is absolutely for you if you are a mum and need to/want to:

… alleviate the pain and discomfort you have been feeling since you started having kids (no matter how long ago that was).
… start exercising but are scared to hurt yourself because it has been a long time since you last exercised/you have never exercised.

JS Pilates Prenatal

Birth Preparation

Mums-to-be need a specialised exercise programme during pregnancy. My Prenatal Pilates/Birth Preparation programme, available as Duo class or Private session, prepares the body for childbirth with breathing technique, toning exercises, education about the pelvic floor, opening and releasing exercises for optimal baby positioning.

My Birth Preparation Programme is ideal for you if you are pregnant and want to:

JS Pilates Postnatal

Postnatal Rehab

Posnatal Rehab is more than just strengthening. At the moment available as Private sessions or Duo classes, my Postnatal Rehab Programme aims to ensure a healthy recovery from birth. Among others, we will work toghether to empower you to manage your Pelvic Organ Prolapse, address Pelvic Floor issues, heal your Diastasis recti (see here), or any other pain or condition that need addressing.

… alleviate pain and discomfort caused by the pregnancy and birth and caring for your baby.
… get assessed for abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti), pelvic floor disfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and referred to a professional if needed.
… heal your abdomincal separation (Diastasis recti).
… work on your pelvic floor – and get rid of mild symptoms like heaviness or leaking or address more serious symptoms like Pelvic Organ Prolapse.
… get fit and strong again, safely and in your own time.
… find an alternative/follow-up to Rückbildung.

JS Pilates Diastasis

Heal your Diastasis Recti

If your abdominals feel and look different after birth, it is possible that you may have Diastasis Recti (DR) a separation of the abdominals along the midline of the body.

DR often comes with other symptoms, such as pelvic floor issues or lower back pain. It is important to address the DR to begin to improve the other symptoms.

My DR programme is specifically designed to give you the knowledge and tools to recover from abdominal separation and prevent reoccurence. This programme is effective even many years after the occurrence of the DR.

Private Sessions

Private sessions are ideal if you have a specific condition that needs special attention, including any condition linked to pregnancy and birth: pelvic floor disorders, Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP), back pain, Diastasis Recti (please see my DR program page for more information).

Having an injury or a medical condition that restricts your movement doesn’t mean that you should stop moving altogether. Quite the contrary! Movement will help you heal and will help you feel better mentally and emotionally.

Duo classes run in my studio and online with 2 participants only.

How to book a class
Cancellation policy

Booking must be made and canceled at least 12 hours before the start of the class. Classes canceled later than 12 h before the class will be charged.
